The Town of Frisco is rolling everyone’s favorite Fourth of July festivities into the 2010 Fantastic 4th of July event. On Sunday the 4th, start the day with the Kids Fishing Derby, cheer on the Main Street parade, listen to the pre and post parade concerts in the park, and end with the grand finale of Fabulous Fireworks over Frisco Bay Marina, all encompassed by the beauty of the Rocky Mountains and Frisco, CO, The Main Street to the Rockies.
Little anglers will have a chance to catch a fish during the Kids Fishing Derby at Meadow Creek Park (behind Wal-Mart) starting at 9:00a.m. The event is open to children up to 12 years old. Participants supply their own poles and bait, and Frisco stocks the pond and provides everyone with a ribbon. Parental supervision must be provided for each participant.
This year is the Downtown Green Art Festival on July 3rd and 4th on 3rd Avenue and Main St. This two day event brings together an eclectic mix of the nation’s most talented artists from around the country and locally, who will collectively display over $15 million in artwork. This event will be more exciting than ever including a “Green” aspect to the event. Each artist will have on a display a piece of environmentally friendly green piece of art! Admission is free and open to the public.
Grab a camp chair and get your seat for Frisco’s small town parade on Main Street, which will begin at 12:30 p.m. Cash prizes and trophies will be given for several categories.
