This workshop is part of the Yoga for Health Series which explores using yoga to balance the body, mind and spirit. Each class will have a specific intention of balancing the five elements in the body. Classes will begin with discussion of the intention and key points of the session, followed by yogic breathing and yoga postures. There are workshops on June 19 (pre-natal yoga), June 27, July 18, July 25, August 1, August 8 and August 22.
We will practice yoga to balance the water and earth elements in the body. The practice will be energetic and stimulating. Postures will include sun salutations, inversions and backbends. Our practice will cultivate acceptance, love, compassion and motivation.
